Welcome to the latest installment of our Bag of Tricks! On some days you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
In this Bag of Tricks we’ll talk about an old bug that found its way back into the game with Module 13. The devs historically for whatever reason had trouble with the Masterwork Nodes you can farm with Explorer’s Case: Omu etc. Several times, players could re-roll the loot inside the nodes and therefore skip the less valuable stuff. Since the difference in prices between the resources can be significant, enhancing the chance to get certain items has always been exploited.
In Neverwinter’s Lost City of Omu, one of those bugs is now back. Switching instances re-rolls the loot for the Masterwork nodes. Meaning that you are able to only pick up the resources you like, and then switch instances. The loot of the remaining nodes will get refreshed that way.
This could be a blessing or a curse, depending on where you stand. Obviously this is unintended, will get fixed at some point, and is probably considered an exploit. On the other hand, you might be able to make decent AD right now and all those super expensive Masterwork V gear should theoretically become more available as players can pick the resources they’d like to farm.
