Welcome to the latest installment of our Bag of Tricks! On some days you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.
Some of you might know our Masterwork Cheat Sheet, which allows you to calculate the required resources for any item of the Masterwork III Recipes. The Chultan Recipes are muss less sophisticated, but are similar in that you need tasks from multiple professions to craft an item. So we figured that a Cheat Sheet might help here as well. So without further ado, here’s our Chultan Recipes Cheat Sheet!
What the sheet does is calculate all the resources you need for a given item and show the required tasks to run. Simply specify the amounts in the ‘Items’ tab and let the sheet do the rest! In the “Resources & Tasks” tab, you are going to find different sections:
- The resources listed under Resource are those you need to farm or buy to start.
- The Resource Task is a list of tasks you need to run to get the second tier of resources. Please note that “Required” specifies the amount of resources while “Task Amount” the number of times you need to run the corresponding task (each task produces five resources).
- The Weapon, Jewelry and Armor Tasks show how often you need to run the weapon, jewelry and armor tasks to get the item you want. You can also edit your success chance for a Tier 3 result here.
Just like the Masterwork Cheat Sheet, the Chultan one is mathematically correct. Due to the fact that resource tasks always produce five resources however, you might run into situation where the shown requirements are too low. A basic example: Let’s say you are able to craft a Teak Tamima at 100%. The weapon requires one Dinosaur Leather, but the corresponding task produces five. The sheet now will tell you to run it 0.2 times, which is effectively not possible. It also means the sheet will advise you to farm one Dinosaur Hide when you actually need five to start the task for the leather once.
The same issue occurs with resources you get back when completing a tier 3 or tier 2 result. Staying with the Teak Tamima at 100% success chance, the sheet will say you need three Teak Lumber instead of five. The reason is that the tier 3 result gives two back. Of course you still need five lumber to start the task.
That’s why there’s a switch in the Options. If you change it to zero, the sheet will no longer put out average values, but round everything up to full task amounts. With that, we’re sure the sheet can be used in the way it benefits you the most. Have fun with it as as always make sure to report any bugs you may find!
