Bag of Tricks Vol. 76: Guild Log Donation Parser by STSchiff

Bog of Tricks Logo

Welcome to the latest installment of our Bag of Tricks! On some days you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.

Tracking guild donations for leaders can be a time-consuming task. For the longest time you needed to create your own spreadsheet and manually transfer any donation. In Module 12 the devs finally introduced a console command to export the guild donation log in a CSV format. That enabled guild leaders to at least import logs into their spreadsheet or database application, but they still needed to analyse the logs themselves.

German player STSchiff has now shared a tool on our message board that saves logs into a local database and allows to execute simple SQL queries against it. It’s very useful to create a donation ranking or check all donations for a certain time frame. The tool is in German, but STSchiff posted explanations on how to use it.

Since we know that you might be wary of using a third-party executable, we have attached the VirusTotal summary below. Thanks to STSchiff for making the life of guild leaders a bit easier!

    Thanks for spreading this 🙂
I would like to state that you don’t need any SQL-knowledge to use the program tho. You can just click on whatever statistic you want to see, like ‘How much influence did my members farm in the last week’, and the program shows the result without the need to build any queries manually.

If anyone has any questions or ideas about this, feel free to ask about it in the forum thread.
If you want me to translate it to english, please let me know, could surely do so.

Shame the devs don’t implement this on consol.
Why can’t we have some simple mechanisms for this on the coffer screens on xbox.

Hey, you can find the program here: https://github.com/chrisheib/NWO-Donation-Monitor/releases Just load the latest .zip and off you go 🙂 Unfortunately the nice manual I wrote is gone T_T Basically set the language, export the log from the game with “/ExportGuildDonationLog E:\Neverwinterlogs\donation.csv” (Insert a path that fits for you. I bound that command to F11, makes it quite convenient to use.) Then click the import button, and bathe in numerical glory ^^’

Sorry. This probably got blacklisted due to a link being included. I manually unblocked this and deleted duplicates. Cheers!
