Change Instance Cooldown Timer Increased to 30 Minutes on Xbox

[blog_subscription_form]A pretty funny yet nasty bug was released with Swords of Chult on Xbox Tuesday. Apparently the cooldown timer to switch instances on adventure zones has been unintentionally increased to 30 minutes! Normally players need to wait two minutes before being able to switch instances. Meant to prevent instance hopping, the bugged timer of 30 minutes now effectively doesn’t allow switching at all. Especially in instances where you want to farm Heroic Encounters this is really annoying. The issue was originally reported on Discord and has since been posted into the official launch issues thread.

Workaround

Gladly there is a workaround to still switch. Party up with someone, zone out using either the VIP signpost or the regular exit and come back. You’ll be placed in the same instance as your party members. This only works however if the instance isn’t full and all other members of your group are already in the same instance. Otherwise it could be that you land in an instance of one of the party members, but not the one you aimed for.
