Devs Announce Module 13 Scourge Warlock Changes

Well that’s quite some turn of events! In the maintenance stream on Tuesday Lead Designer Thomas Foss stated that he is not ready to leak something about M13 yet. Looks like that might not have been too accurate, because yesterday the devs detailed their plans for the Scourge Warlock class. Balanced posted the list of changes for the next module along with a lengthy explanation of the tweaks.

Scourge Warlocks One of the Classes That Need Help

Initial reactions from the Warlock community were mostly positive. Players are probably glad that something is done, the class was one of those that desperately needed help in PVE and PVP. In the current meta both SW buffers and DPS hardly play any role. Great Weapon Fighters and also Hunter Rangers are that much better and DCs and GFs take the support roles. It didn’t help that the popular build around the Owlbear Cub got rendered ineffective in Swords of Chult.

Now it’s finally time to rejoice if you like the class! It might be a while before we will be able to actually test tweaks on the preview, but make sure to stop by the feedback thread and comment on the changes.

I would love to see warlocks becoming more of a summoner class.

None of these changes are going to save our class… Sad cryptic devs want sw class out of never winter. I’m a 17k almost maxed sw on ps4 every expansion now they’ve nerfed our class I’ve never been able t9g once because how low they’ve throttled down my DPs and that’s full power insigs/crit 8 legendary mounts 14 legendary comps also full r 13 demonics+black ice and a 13k gwf with nothing for mounts or comps will do 800m in time I do 100m. Cryptic continues to kill this class and this so called “fix” is nothing more then a excuse to say they tried. New games are coming out wasted $5000 on this game now to get pooped on by devs who only want gwf pally n DC in their game cause that’s what they play. My sw will be maxed next month and still won’t be able to complete t9g content because there is no place for a slow building DPs in a burst DPs meta. If your a sw reroll this cryptic fix is a spit in our face.

I’m with you bro! I’ve played for almost 3 yrs on Xbox and have spent in excess of $1000. I rarely find myself on Neverwinter these days. Can’t get into a dungeon worth being in anymore. I have watched my character go from top of the DPS chart, to being beat by OP’s. Oh well. I’ll not spend another dime on this game and that is certain.

Im with you. Cant get groups because sw fury or templock is too weak for grp play. Can only pug and those grps are underpowered 12k il players. Mod 13 only makes it worse. Cant get new gear if cant complete tong. Whats the point in playing anymore.

Hello, I have a SW 16k and since I was 15ks I´ve been doing T9g. I can go as a Dps Buffer or in Temptation with another DC… Of course I ´ve been going with my Guild mates and in the Zone chat is almost impossible…

I am having the same problem guys. My sw is 17.3k and still cannot do enough damage in tong to make my guild members invite me to the queue. I was looking forward to the upcoming changes, but now that I have read about the changes, I am very disappointed and probably will stop playing NW at all. After all the time it took me to get my sw to 17.3k, I am forced to stop playing.
