Eternal Flame Lockbox Preview

The latest preview patch added the new Eternal Flame Lockbox to the public test server and here’s a sneak peak of the new items (minus Oghma’s Release, couldn’t find a tooltip for that). Normally the lockboxes are introduced as soon as possible after being applied to preview, but since tomorrows patch was postponed we might have to wait until next week.

That new legendary mounts come with stats and a power usable in combat immediately launched a controversial discussion on both reddit and the official message board, because it could broaden the already wide gap between high-ends and other players as well as add another paywall.

    It should start some controversy. This mount will sell for 20M+. While it doesn’t say if there is an increase in speed or the number of hits you can take. The +4,000 movement speed is nothing to sneeze at.
    The attack isn’t such a big deal. Already most people don’t bother with the doppelganger anymore.
    What this does give us is an example of how the power creeping will begin anew.
    Seriously though, feytouched cws are still one-shoting dragons. Lostmauth artifact set out performs any other artifact set by 400%+ and is being attributed to 30% more damage from anyone wearing it. People with T2 armor have no incentive to help under geared people farm their T2s.
    But creating a new mechanic for mounts is a priority?…{lowers head and walks away}

      Actually, there are people who’ve been asking to have a mount that could be summoned to fight alongside you for a long while. It was just naive if anyone ever thought it would be implemented without having a price tag attached.
