Monday’s Bag Of Tricks Vol. 7: Farming Vigilance Tasks

Welcome to the seventh installment of Monday’s Bag of Tricks! On some Mondays you will find useful tricks, gimmicks and ideas here that can make life in Neverwinter Online easier. Some of the stuff should be well known, but since even veterans learn something new every now and then, chance is you can, too.

This is more like a public service announcement, but it’s worth categorizing here anyway because knowing this might save you a lot of time. There seems to be a certain uncertainty how to farm the Vigilance Quests for both Elemental Aggregates and Unified Elements and the truth is: You can’t.

People suggested that there is one Unified Element somewhere each hour or each day or that it’s completely random, but that’s all wrong. Whenever a quest is generated, RNG determines whether it gives green, blue or purple Elemental Resources on top of the Gold and XP and it stays that way until you complete it. That’s why it absolutely makes no sense to circle the quests every hour, because if a quest doesn’t give you an Elemental Aggregate or Unified Element, than it won’t in two hours. Or tomorrow, or next week. The only way to reshuffle is to complete the quest and hope for better luck next time.

What about accepting and then abandoning the quest. Will that refresh it?
