Neverwinter Community Watch

The Community Watch is a recurring format on the weekends that summarizes interesting stories, forum posts, links and news in the Neverwinterverse that are worth reporting, but don’t warrant a full own post. To make browsing through this massive list a little bit more convenient, we have categorized the posts and assigned platform icons where it makes sense. Here’s what happened during the last week:

These are our community updates for this week! In case you run a blog or channel or found a resource that frequently updates with new content about the game, don’t hesitate and contact us so we can monitor the site.

We are always looking for people that contribute to this blog. For more information contact us via or check the forum.

    Well, frozenfirevr, Neverwinter Moderator:

    Liar, Imbecile or Fool?

    Does he actually believe everything he says? Or does he have the vacant stare of Zebutard that says “Hold my head up to your ear – you will hear the sea”?

    He even started a thread discussing moderation! Which is against the rules that he has sworn on the soul of his First Born to defend! There was a time when another moderator would have blocked that thread.

    Of course, anyone with at least half a brain (which clearly excludes Zebutard, Ambinisturd, MaladyWeird and also Maniac Tipsy, if she was actually the moderator she so desperately wannabees…) knows that such rules are aimed at discussing SPECIFIC actions of moderation on an open forum, rather than in PMs. It is not meant as a blanket ban for discussing the CONCEPT of moderation and what sort of posted content could invoke its action.

    Maniac Dipso has often said recently that “her” Reddit will have no DISCUSSION of exploits. Note, not no PROMOTING of exploits, which was actually part of the ToS, RoC and official forum rules last time I looked, but no DISCUSSION, even when the bug is FIXED. What could be the reason for this?

    So Craptrick and PWE can pretend that no bugs actually exist and that no exploits have EVER existed? Like they tried to do with the Astral Resonator exploit and the Astral Diamond Fountaineers?

    Personally, I believe in reporting an exploit directly on the forum. Tell everyone. Create a level playing field. Force Craptrick to ADMIT the exploit exists, and then maybe they might shift their fat arses a bit quicker to fix it.

    BUT – Craptrick should also clearly warn ALL players on ALL Platforms, via all channels, including:

    * Twatarse
    * Farcebok
    * the Official Forums
    * the Arc client
    * the Game Launcher Splash panel
    * the Log In screen
    * the Claim Valuable Items screen
    * In-Game mail
    * Admin Message in-game

    and tell everyone:

    _”We know this exploit exists, we are trying to fix it and we are monitoring all accounts. Appropriate actions will be taken against ALL accounts found to be using this exploit, including but not limited to any action up to Permanent bans and/or Roll Back of all currencies.”_

    Then, there should be NO exploiting at all, or very little.

    But NO! That’s FAR too complicated and sensible. They cannot even send an Automatic e-mail to every player In-Game, let alone remember to post something on social media or put it on the log-in screen.

    They can’t even post an Admin message in block capitals every 10 minutes. They’d prefer us to read about people winning stuff from lock boxes.

    So, they do their Ostrich impression and pretend nothing’s wrong.

    frozenfirevr again:
    _”Discussing Exploits and Repercussions. This also isn’t of any use.”_

    Not of any use? You mean with the exception of free and open discussion and communication of the issue, enabling players to discuss important issues they want to discuss, a method of curbing exploits and everything else I outlined above?

    Or do you just want to pretend there’s nothing wrong and never any exploits and bugs in the game?

      Liar, Imbecile or Fool?

      Like the others moderators, seems to be the three options 😀

      I don’t even go to the official forum any more. The xbox threads are mostly dead. … The idea that xbox players in general visit (or even know it exists) is stupid.

      There’s plenty of space in-game to post announcements on the home screen. But apparently that’s too much work.

      They also like to argue that the bans are Perfect World’s fault. Has nothing to do with Cryptic or the community team.
      …. right, so no one’s at fault but they’re still happy to take your money.

        It’s that attitude that causes all trust in the company to bleed away and vanish, much like the synapses in Maniac Tipsy’s brain.
