Neverwinter Community Watch

The Community Watch is a recurring format on the weekends that summarizes interesting stories, forum posts, links and news in the Neverwinterverse that are worth reporting, but don’t warrant a full own post.

Here’s what happened during the last week:

• Our readers knew beforehand and now PWE has officially unveiled Portobello DaVinci to the public and added another posting detailing the month-long event.
• Looks like Masterwork items on Xbox are hitting the open market. The prices though…
• A rather hot topic on reddit features the exodus of not less than 25-30 endgame geared members of a guild after an undisclosed change in the leadership.
• In case you run into the current auction house bug that doesn’t let you take down expired auctions, try the gateway. It works from there.
• Speaking of the auction house: Every patch seems to hide all current auctions and auctions with bids on them even get stuck for both the bidder and the poster. Be warned and try to take down everything before a patch right now. You have to repost it anyway.
• We already informed you about the current outdated pricing of ZEN Profession Packs and Xbox has their own story to tell. The Mysterious Eggs event that currently runs still has the eggs in the Wondrous Bazaar at 1.2M AD while the actual price of the eggs and the companions that drop from them has long been diminished due to the Winter Event and sell for way less. Estimated revenue for PWE: 0.
• PSA: The game is indeed portable and can be freely moved around on your HDDs.

• Apparently veteran guild Tyrs Paladium has thought about and actually did close its Neverwinter chapter for a few days. In older messages of their chatbox you can see members being very concerned about losing all their Strongholds work. It seems though that the decision has since been reverted and a post in their recruitment thread has been deleted. It’s still quite telling that one of the D&D franchise focused guilds obviously has trouble calling Neverwinter one of their homes.
• People have recognized strange sound inconsistencies with Sgt. Knox and other NPCs in Module 9. Apparently there has been a rather big change in personnel and Knox’s original voice actor for example stopped working for Cryptic in October 2015.
• On a related note, graalx3 also doesn’t work for Cryptic any longer. This is his last post on the official forum.
• In case you want to know how stalemate, slow-paced and boring current PVP can be, absolutely click this link. (no GWFs were harmed in this video)
• Icydrake then went on boosting his ego in IWD by actually killing people.
• Meanwhile Maycon Paixão shows off a CW with the new Dread Enchantment against a Strongholds Heroic Encounter. Seems to be a Thaumaturge SM build.
• Should be noted though that the enchant is still bugged.
• Next class to solo CN bosses: The Hunter Ranger.
• Looks like other players realize how dull the design of the Maze Engine campaign is. It’s not like we didn’t tell you.
• If you need an augment, grab that Goat while it’s cheap.
• The idea of making the leveling dungeons available to all levels might not have been a great idea for everyone. Workaround: Form a premade of your level.
• A player estimated the value of BIS at 50,000,000 AD. There definitely have been worse days if accurate.
