Neverwinter Makes MassivelyOP’s Perfect Ten Of Healthiest Live MMOs

For one of Massively Overpowered’s “Perfect Ten” colums this month, Justin Olivetti ranked the ten healthiest live MMOs and Neverwinter made the list! Here’s what the author had to say:

10. Neverwinter

In a way, the tenth pick for this list was the hardest of all, because it had to justify being there versus all of the others I had to knock off. However, I feel fine with giving Neverwinter a nod of MMO health approval for several reasons. It’s not just that it’s reportedly doing gangbusters on the Xbox One (although that helps) but that it keeps throwing in giant updates without charging for the new content or classes. That’s kept the players rolling in and willing to spend money elsewhere (companions, lockboxes, mounts). Other plusses in its favor are its casual-friendly approach and the always-trendy Forgotten Realms D&D setting. Yeah, I’d say that Neverwinter is a good place to be indeed.

Make sure to add your opinion as well. Do you feel Neverwinter is on a good way to establish itself on the market or won’t make a comparable list next year? Let us know!

I thought MassivelyOP had NWO players. Judging from the comments it sounds like they are reading the PW news feeds. Then again we are talking about the 10th spot, there is not much competition that low. Skyforge and Wildstar can both easily claim a spot on this list in the next couple of months.

i bet it will be almost dead by this time next year. neverwinter deserves to die. and it is a shame both for the setting (not the work they done with it) and for its combat (which i used to love until i fed up with the game).

If by new content they mean PWE copied/pasted environments with different colors, then yeah, they deliver new content alright.
