Systems Designer Chris Meyer Leaves Cryptic, Joins Trion Worlds, Rift
In a series of Tweets Chris “gentlemancrush” Meyer shared his decision to leave Cryptic and join Trion Worlds to work for the rival Free-2-Play game Rift. We believe Chris was the brain behind most balancing changes and at least majorly contributed to the design of the Paladin class. He was also one of the most vocal devs on the official forum during Modules 4-6. It’s only a change of office, not environment, for Chris because both studios are located in the California Bay Area. Farewell and best of luck going forward!
Super exciting news for me. Can’t talk about details publicly yet, but generally good news for me.

@NorcrossCreativ I’m certainly gonna miss it. Cryptic was my first industry job. Its hard. Also something I feel I need too. Bittersweet.
