Neverwinter Uncensored Toolbase v1.0.2 Changes

We’re back from our short holiday break with a minor update of our Toolbase and sites! Based on the feedback we get we felt that the blog, forum and toolbase need to move closer together. It seems too many of the blog visitors are not aware that there’s a forum. And vice versa. And some folks visiting the forum couldn’t find the tools. So we made the Forum and the Toolbase more prominent links here on the blog and gave the forum a bit more of a portal-ish look to make it a hub for all things Uncensored has to offer. The Neverwinter:Uncensored board index will now show the latest blog posts as well as a quicker access to the Toolbase. We hope you like the changes and appreciate any feedback on this.

Furthermore a new tool has been added that’s based and actually named after j0Shi’s original Artifact Refining Cheat Sheet, which was a very early feature on our Monday’s Bag of Tricks. Normally the refining process is pretty straight forward. If you feed previously refined stuff into a new item, you always lose refining points in the process, even within a double weekend. It’s not as easy with Artifacts however, because they are getting a massive x5 multiplier when fed into another Artifact of the same type. That’s why it can actually make sense to refine one Artifact first and then feed another one with it.

While this is logical, it’s pretty much impossible to figure out the when to use a feeder and when to refine an Artifact straight up, because it’s dependent on the current price of RPs and the Artifacts. There are rules of the thumb (generally feeding makes more sense when cost of RPs are higher for example), but you don’t have to rely on them any longer with our new tool, because it does the math for you and tells you how to get to your desired level the cheapest possible way. Just like our Enchantment Buy vs. Make assessor, it has plenty options to adjust to your actual ingame circumstances.

Unfortunately at this point the new tool is only available to registered users of our message board. This is not meant to exclude anybody, but rather to make sure to gather a certain amount of feedback before going completely live. We don’t want anybody to lose their hard-earned ADs because of a bug or misconception in the calculation. The tool will be available to everyone shortly.
