Neverwinter Weekender: Height of Summer

weekenderlogoThe Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!

Height of Summer

When it comes to the summer Neverwinter is no different than real life. It’s over way too soon. The Summer Festival has reached its height, in which all some Petal rewards are being doubled. Additionally a 20% Pack Sale takes place on all platforms and PC gets discounted keys as well.

Players that hoarded their balls so far should really start looking to get into groups. Thanks to alliances and private parties the amount of public requests especially for multiple balls has noticeably decreased. So in case you don’t want to get into a serious rush on Thursday, better play it safe and do your kicks early. As always also keep in mind that events on PC effectively end with the maintenance. So you have to get your stuff done before that.

By the way: Getting to 500 Copper Tickets for the emote is not possible using the 21 free balls you get. You either need to buy additional ones or get a little creative in groups. You could for example share your balls on one alt and then log over to your main to receive tickets from the rest of the group.

Double Double

If you somehow manage to run out of balls, you can also profit from Double Shards or Double Seals across all platforms. Both don’t belong into the major league of events, but are a nice way to get more rewards out of the stuff you usually do anyway. One noticeable absentee this week is Double Experience on PC. The devs used to love throwing in this one before module releases, but not this time. We’ve already stated around here that while it seems to make sense, Double XP is actually not that useful before modules any longer. You can’t jump right into the jungle at level 70 anyway. Especially with the upcoming changes to the Protector Seals vendor a boost there is much more helpful. So kudos to the devs for realizing that fact (or reading NWO:Unblogged!).

No Tavern Stream

Since there will be a launch stream on Tuesday, there’s apparently no Driftwood Tavern Community stream today. Sorry!

We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! In case you have any questions or remarks, make sure to put them in the comments or visit the corresponding thread on our message board!

[Flowers for Everyone!] still gives only 220 petals… Not double iirc. And the Flower Gathering Reward is 30, not sure about that one.

Thanks! Is this a recent change or have those always been excluded?

I don’t remember too well, but believe they were all double last year.

Flowers for Everyone was historically excluded, but I think I goofed in believing Flower Gathering Rewards did not double. They were giving 15 previously.
