The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!
Challenge of the Gods
For the first weekend in a long time the events on platforms slightly differ, but all players can go hunt the Gift of the Gods again. The rewards are mostly underwhelming, but the packs do drop unbound Rank 6 Enchantments. So PC users get a few more RPs on their double weekend. It is however recommended to grab the daily Blessed Gift of the Gods, because you can always be lucky and get a Forgehammer of Gond. Plus it’s the only source of Vicious Enchantments next to the Winter Festival. Otherwise farming the event makes little sense. Just complete the easy challenges while doing dailies, it’s a nice bonus.
On consoles players can profit from Double Enchantments and Stronghold Shards. We hope you saved all your Enchantment and Runestone packs from lockboxes, because now is the time to open them and get double rewards! Clever players have also piled up Stronghold quests for double shards, but it’s not major. It might make sense however to pay more attention to the featured dungeons and quests while running your daily stuff.
PC gets Double Refinement and a 15% Refinement sale on top of it. As always we recommend using our market tools especially in the Artifact upgrading process. It really can save you a few ADs. It’s also a good time to remind everyone that now is the time to sell RPs, not to buy them. Spend the RP you have farmed in recent weeks and sell what you don’t need yourself. You might be tempted to get the last missing RPs for your gear, but patience will pay off as there is always another Double Refinement coming up.
While consoles get a 15% ZEN market sale, PC can cash in on a lovely Virtual Currency Bonus. Things to buy from the ZEN market include VIP packages, Enchanted Keys and Mounts. You should absolutely stay away from any Profession or Adventurer Starter Packs. Those are not worth their contents. We also can’t recommend buying into the Blood Ruby Pack unless you really, really, REALLY want to take a shot at the Celeste companion. Since Storm Kings Thunder the Rubys have plummeted and are available for much less on the Auction House.
We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! In case you have any questions or remarks, make sure to put them in the comments or visit the corresponding thread on our message board!
