Neverwinter Weekender: Siege, Seals and a Solo Queue Surprise!

weekenderlogoThe Neverwinter Weekender is our brand-new weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures!

Siege of Neverwinter

Guilds be aware: On consoles one of the most prolific events has arrived! One of the key features of the event are Stronghold Voucher drops on the Siege map. It’s a grind, but well worth it. As if this would not be enough the devs are adding double Guild Marks and a Stronghold Sale, making the weekend a complete frenzy for all guild related activities. Guilds can get progression worth several months and player amass Guild Marks to turn into ADs. In case you don’t know how, check this video.

Next to the vouchers the free Companions, Mounts, Fashion and Artifact make this event one you don’t want to miss! Note that the functionality of the Quartermaster’s Utility Enchantment can be a bit irritating. The quality of the bags that drop is dependent on the level of the mobs you kill. Donated to the Stronghold Coffer they generate different values, the quality of the drops when opened however is the same across all bags and only dependent on the total percentage of Quartermaster’s Enchantments you currently have slotted. The best reward tier starts with a combined 10.5%.

For an in-depth review you may browse here, but note that some aspects of the event might have changed since the time of the writing.

PVP Solo Queue

On the PC version the devs surprise the community with a reinstallment of the PVP solo queue. During the first run it was a heavy fan favorite and drew many positive reactions. Unfortunately the Double Seals event does not include Seals of Triumph, but nonetheles Domination should see an influx of players once again. The only concern is that players will more and more abuse sync queuing with their friends and guild and work around the intention of the event that way.

Double professions also makes tons of sense, because Sea of Moving Ice demands some of the less desired Masterwork resources.

We hope you guys will enjoy the weekend with our overview! Have fun with the Siege and Solo Queue!

We have the Solo PvP queue on Xbox also btw. Needs to be made a permanent thing, most fun in PvP I’ve had in ages.
