New Module 11 Items Include Companion Gear and Artifact Weapons

Since last Friday we know why the key change was rushed from preview to live within a week: Neverwinter Module 11 was already waiting and got its first release uploaded on the PTS. We will dig deeper into the new features and campaign in the upcoming weeks, but want to start with some infos on new item additions.

Companion Gear

While players are waiting for the return of Loyal Gear, the skirmish of Module 11 will drop new Companion stuff. There are six different stat combinations available for all types of slots (Grimoire, Icon, Necklace, Pactblade, Ring, Swordknot, Talisman and Waist). Just like Underdark and Storm Kings Thunder Jewelry, the gear comes in variants of +1 to (assumingly) +5. So after personal Legendary Rings and Marks, players can add Companion Gear to their grind list. It sure seems like the devs really like the format.

Companions

Next to the gear also a lot of actual Companions have been added. The ZEN store will see a Dragonborn Mage that in line with earlier pets will enhance campaign currency gain. There is also a Master’s Portal Stone probably similar to a Master’s Trowel, but we’re not quite sure what purpose these Portal Stones serve within the campaign or module.

Powerdef.Autodesc.Pet_Mageslayer_04
Doubles drop rate of Portal Stones in the River District. Increase damage against the Cloak Ascendency’s minions by 5%

Powerdef.Autodesc.Pet_Mageslayer_Gloamingcut
The Mageslayer delivers a percise attack to the foe, aiming for vulnerable parts.

Powerdef.Autodesc.Pet_Mageslayer_Passive
When hit by a critical strike, the Mageslayer’s Defense, Deflect, and Life Steal is increased by 50.

Powerdef.Autodesc.Pet_Mageslayer_Slyflourish_1
A swiping attack that the Mageslayer uses to off-balance their victims.[/su_box]

The other three added Companions drop from lairs in the River District and give a damage boost against the different mob types on the map:

Mounts

Eight Mounts were added from which five drop from the new Many-Starred Lockbox (see below). Three other Gorgon variants are unassigned and could be available through future giveaways.

Artifacts

Spellplague Caverns is going to drop a new Artifact called Fragmented Key of Stars.

Many-Starred Lockbox

The Module will come with a brand new lockbox called “Many-Starred”. It includes the following items:

Artifact Weapons

Last but not least, there will be a new line of four Artifact Weapon sets for each class. They seem to be on par with the Relic Weapons in terms of item level and feature the following set bonuses:

[su_box title=”Module 11 Weapon Set Bonuses” radius=”0″]Fey
When you damage an enemy or heal an ally, there is a chance you become Fey-Touched, which restores 10% of your AP, as well as increases your Outgoing Damage by 3% and your Outgoing Healing by 6% for 10 seconds. You can only be Fey-Touched once every 30 seconds.

Firesoul
When you damage an enemy, there is a chance you become Fortified, which increases your defense by 5% and adds your Defense to your Power, to a max of 30% increase of your total Power.

Illusion
When you damage an enemy, there is a chance you become a Master of Illusion for 10 seconds! As a Master of Illusion will summon three illusions of yourself to fight for you, though results may vary. A Master of Illusion also does 3% more damage, which increases by 10% against enemies with Shields and Temp HP. You can only be a Master of Illusion once every 30 seconds.

Aberrant
When you damage an enemy, there is a chance you will become a Far-Influenced, which increases your Outgoing Damage by 4% and grants you a random buff for 10 seconds. Lifestealer: Increases your Lifesteal by 2500. Tainted Attack: Enemies you attack will take additional damage over time. Impeding Death: Enemies you attack will explode on death, doing damage to other foes. You can only be Far-Influenced once every 30 seconds.[/su_box]

Players can buy the unrestored Weapons in the campaign store and just like in Sea of Moving Ice have to grind for the resources to restore them. As of right now they do not require special Marks though. There are ten new Crafting Resources attached to the Weapons:
