New Twitch and Youtube Feature on Neverwinter Unblogged

As we’ve said in our 2017 outlook, we’d like to get closer to the Twitch and Youtube community and we are happy to announce that we’ve taken a first step into that direction. You might have noticed a new widget on the right sidebar when loading the page on a Desktop browser. It shows a random Twitch stream or Youtube video. With the feature we want to honor the hard working communities that bring live content to the game every day.

We have compiled a list of active Twitch streamers and Youtubers that the script is working with. Generally it highly favors streams before videos, because Twitch is more dependent on live audience and the Youtube scene already well represented in our weekly Community Watch. Additionally the script always shows a video whenever it is unable to find an active stream on its list.

If you feel we should include you with your Twitch or Youtube channel in our feature, please read through the requirements and use the form below to apply. Please note that we might need a few days to review your channel.

Current Lineup

  • Twitch: achiiiles, alsrandomkill, des3rtonda, evilmrhyde, fishboneabcd, flipmo_, fnhusa57, frankgeppitv, galacticunderwear, garlaanx, gheddy78, greyhastur, jonthescotsman, kaligold, kodereader, lancerino, minimi007, nrose, powerwithin523, quietforme, rainernw, rivodus, sirwilsalot, speedache, sir_lambsalot, teamdrd, teddy, theguiido, thenickfloshow
  • Youtube: BY the People, CayleyNW, DDM’s Realm, FNHUSA57, Galactic Underwear, Garlaanx, Girl Versus Game, IIMrMonkeyII, Integrity Games, Irfaan Khan, Jase4yaz, JayAgeDee, Magnus Palmquist, Mini, northside, Nova IIDBZII, PavlosT Scourge Warlock, Pug Panther, Rainer, Saiyajin X, Seavia, That Anarchist Nuub, TheNickFloShow, Xѕellι

Requirements

  • Youtube channels for now must exclusively publish Neverwinter related content. No other videos are allowed.
  • Youtube channels that cover multiple games need to provide a keyword in titles that clearly separates Neverwinter videos from their other content.
  • Although we do not have a hard requirement in terms of frequency, Twitch channels need to stream regularly. We mainly want to promote the ones that are interested in establishing followers and grow the games’ community.
  • Neverwinter must be the main game you stream on Twitch. We know there are great channels out there that also happen to regularly play Neverwinter, but at this point we are only looking for dedicated Neverwinter streamers.
  • Twitch channels need to provide active gameplay content (or viewer interaction, answering questions etc.) at any time when online. Please do not leave the stream to run errands, eat or sleep. As general rule you shouldn’t be idle for more than 30 minutes, even if you’re running a giveaway in the meantime. If you absolutely want to keep the stream online, set your game to “Not Playing” as outlined in the Twitch Community Guidelines.

We would additionally appreciate a mention or link to our site on your channel or video description. It’s not required though.

Would help if you tell us what youtube channels/twitch channels are already on your list right now so we don’t have to apply if we’re there already.

Thank you for helping out the Neverwinter Twitch community I’m sure every one of us are very thankful for what your doing and I hope to see many other people added to he list. I for one will add a Neverwinter UN banner to my stream page to promote you guys.

I did want to ask .. Even though i am (Mainly) a Neverwinter streamer at heart “sometimes” i do check out other games, for example i completed Resident evil 7 recently it only took me two streams to complete the entire game, but obviously I don’t want to get taken off the list but can I still stream “the odd” diffrent game?

Mod 11 will be released soon so i will be playing Neverwinter 100% of the time. But later down the line when the game slows down and gets a little stale like it is at this moment in time. I would like to stream a few hours of Darkest Dungeon for example. But if that could get me into to trouble then i will stick to Neverwinter full time It’s not a problem.

No worries mate. Just make sure to correctly tag the game you’re playing and it’s going to be bueno! Keep up the good work!

    Hey,

On my channel you can mostly find things involving Neverwinter PvP, premade, PuG games, some build theorycrafting and other Neverwinter vids since mod 9 I keep record of my games, I sometimes post some bugs I found out like SW Soulbinder fight on 100+ sparks, I was one to post the vid from the time Orcus set oneshot everybody and everything and some preview reviews sometimes. Because I play GW2 abit I have 4 vids or so from it because I like the maps designs there but nothing serious, hope you could consider adding me 😀

Would it be possible for it to NOT auto-play? it uses bandwidth for no reason and many of us are limited in how much we have.

Also on a Desktop? It shouldn’t play on mobile for that very reason.

Noted. At this point we’re just loosely picking up guys that regularly stream the game. No other requirements such as behavior, but that might change.

This List Needs To Include (Fnhusa57) YouTube/Twitch/Blogs Why Is He Not Apart Of This List? YouTube Content Is Awesome & Informative. Twitch Streams Very Interactive & Helpful, I Think @NWO_Unblogged Needs To Add Him ASAP Awesome Addition I Think!

His Youtube channel features mixed content, which doesn’t fit our requirements. Will check on Twitch, but it seems he’s only streaming Neverwinter sparingly?

Why is FNHUSA57 Only featured on twitch and not both twitch and youtube? Im just curious because as far as i see his youtube meets the requirements to be featured.

“Youtube channels that do not exclusively feature Neverwinter content need to create a playlist where they store their Neverwinter videos.”
