Neverwinter Uncensored’s patch note parser runs through any bigger patch notes and offers additional context to the changes that were made to the game. Today we are taking a closer look into version NW.105.20181022a.19, in which the devs continue to battle the various Heart of Fire launch issues.
Another Experience Glitch?
The devs adjust some more experience handed out by a repeatable low-level quest. They already nerfed the Illusionist’s Gambit skirmish after players found out you could easily farm bronze completions to level up and get those Incentives from the alt promo event. It seems Basement Investigations might have suffered from the same issue. That’s why it now gives less experience and is on a one-hour cooldown. For players farming the campaign getting to the Weekly Haul just got a little more annoying. The weekly quests won’t quite get you to the cap, leaving Basement Investigations as your only source of Acorns until you unlock the skirmish.
Charge Rewards Fixes
The second notable set of fixes was done to the Winter Charge Rewards. Some players weren’t able to claim the rewards at all, and the devs additionally had to deactivate the first reward tier because of a bug. They originally announced a fix within two weeks, but thankfully got this one done fast so that players should now be able to claim their Enchanted Keys. The fact that they even accept an extra claim shows that they put the players first here, which is nice to see.
If you can’t claim anything from the Promo vendor, you still have to go through support though.
Talking about the promo vendor, it wasn’t too clear to all players that the usual Reward Claims Agent isn’t the one to look out for. Instead, there’s an extra “Promotion Agent” located between Knox and the Hall of Justice. So this tooltip change might at least help a bit.
