Patch Note Parser: NW.105.20181121b.6

Neverwinter Uncensored’s patch note parser runs through any bigger patch notes and offers additional context to the changes that were made to the game. Today we are taking a quick look at version NW.105.20181121b.6, which deals with some hilarious Guardian Fighter bugs.

[su_quote]Chult Patronage Token now actually reduces costs of Chult campaign tasks.[/su_quote]

The devs continue their quest of “unbugging” the Heart of Fire release. This patch note is just an example of a plethora of minor fixes to quest flows and other annoying bugs. Castle Ravenloft now once again awards Seals of the Crown for example and players can also complete some formerly bugged Sharandar quests. As we’ve mentioned last week, the sheer amount of issues is not pleasant. But you can’t deny that the devs do what they can on a weekly basis at the moment. And well, it feels like the to-do list is slowly starting to shrink a little bit.

Old Packs vs. New Packs

[su_quote]Dragonborn Race Pack now comes with an Adventurer’s Support Pack in the Reward Claims Agent. Players who purchased a Dragonborn Race Pack prior to this change can still pick theirs up at the same Agent.[/su_quote]

This might not sound like a note worth highlighting, but it indeed is considering an issue that players brought up a couple weeks ago. In Module 15 Cryptic chose to revamp some of the older race and founder packs in the ZEN market. That was decent idea because those have been around for a while and were outdated. Since they got a reasonable upgrade in terms of price and contents however, veterans reasoned that players that already have bought the old versions should also get the new contents. Waiting for an answer for weeks and seeing that Cryptic can indeed dish out free upgrades has now disgruntled some players. That said, it’s probably just the devs being busy as always. They are apparently aware.

[su_quote]Lockboxes drop a bit more often now, though still a little lower than rates prior to the launch of the Heart of Fire.[/su_quote]

You might have noticed that lockboxes do not drop as frequent as they used to. We’re not sure what this is all about, but it could be an interesting side effect of the new Workshop system. Lockboxes sell for Gold and suddenly become an economic factor. Maybe it was just a matter of lockboxes dropping too often though. It was by far the most common drop and players always had more than they could open. Anyway, in case you like a particular lockbox, it might make sense to stock them up now. Supply won’t last as long as it used to for older boxes.

Important Guardian Fighter Fixes

[su_quote]Guardian Fighter: Shield Warrior’s Wrath was using a calculation that made it far more effective than intended. This calculation has been fixed, and the effect of Shield Warrior’s Wrath now matches its tooltip.[/su_quote]

Guardian Fighter finally get their fix to Shield Warrior’s Wrath, which was mightily broken and giving a ludicrous amount of damage buff. Additionally Griffon’s Wrath is now even less likely to be infinitely usable. This means DPS GFs are no longer godlike and back to being just great.

Good news about the Dragonborn Race Pack.

But even better when the Dragonborn Legend Pack gives the Epic Mount and Epic Black Dragon Ioun Stone companion.

Some of us paid through the nose for that Pack way back. And some poor sods probably bought it a week before they dropped the price massively AND upgraded the contents. No one expects a rebate of Zen, but they should update both packs retrospectively.

    🙂

    regenerde posted From the support:
“Unfortunately, if you already purchased the old packs, you will not be able to purchase the new race packs. They contain essentially the same items, with more emphasis on the races, which you have already purchased. I apologize for the inconvenience, but your account will not be able to purchase the new packs because you have already unlocked all the races.”

and the answer on my question, if they could pass my request on to someone in charge:
“Unfortunately, there is no one here that can assist with your inquiry. The developers decide on what goes into the packs and there is no direct line of communication to them. We appreciate your feedback on packs, but that is not something that we at Customer Support can assist you with.”

also asked about this in there:
