We’re a little late to the party here, but nonetheless wanted to report some more nerfs that were introduced in the latest Neverwinter patch last week. You probably already know about the River District Heroic Encounter reward changes, but that unfortunately wasn’t the only change that negatively impacted players.
Transmute Nightmare Weapons Now Cost 65 Trade Bars
One of the major sources of incomes, or at least one of the better ways of turning Trade Bars into AD was to buy Nightmare Weapons from the store. They were unbound and only five Trade Bars. You could either sell them on the Auction House or salvage them. This is now ancient history because the price for the weapons was raised considerably to 65 Trade Bars. Once again the devs do not mess around with fine-tuning but just destroy this method of making AD off the weapons. They are now one of the worse buys. It didn’t help that the change was initially not mentioned in the patch notes.
So how should you invest your Trade Bars in now? Our Currency Converter is here to help out, at least on PC. It currently lists the dyes as best value, but the market will probably need some time to adjust to the changes. Trade Bars as a whole are getting devalued because players that bought Nightmare Weapons so far will go for other stuff, upping the supply, and decreasing the value of the other items.
The Barovian Vigil Daily Is Now Way Harder to Complete
The other change players are struggling with is the one to the Barovian Vigil daily in Ravenloft. At least that was mentioned in the patch notes, right? Anyway, the quest (and the corresponding ones in Soshenstar River and Omu) were bugged and you gained credit for other players completing quests. That however masked the fact that the quest otherwise is a pure pain to complete, at least on a daily basis. If you’re running your weeklies, HEs, and some more daily quests, you should be getting there. But doing the Vigil each day is pretty much no longer possible unless you’re into sadomasochism or something. This effectively makes the Barovian Vigil a weekly for most players.
