You Can Currently Grab a Dungeons & Dragons Humble Comics Bundle

Today we have great news for all those of you that not only like the Neverwinter MMO, but the Dungeons & Dragons franchise as a whole! Humble Bundle has partnered with IDW to “resurrect a bundle of D&D comics… plus a few new treasures”. The deal already includes six digital comics at 1$, and 23 if you pay 15$ or more. The bundle is available for 13 more days and features well-known characters like Drizzt or Minsc.

It’s certainly a great deal for those that like D&D, and comics in particular. Even if you’re unsure, why not throw a few bucks at the Humble Comics Bundle, see if you might like it, and do something good in the process? As always Humble Bundle allows you to freely distribute your donation between IDW, Humble Bundle, and a charity (this time the Hasbro Children’s Fund).

    Oh, that sounds fun.

I still have a bunch of the Forgotten Realms comics by DC from… either the ’80s or ’90s… as well as every issue of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons comic by DC. They stopped after quite a limited run as it just wasn’t selling, for some reason.

They both inspired several character names for many of my adventures in Bioware’s Baldur’s Gate trilogy, Icewind Dale I, Icewind Dale II – Heart of Winter/Heart of Fury and Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2.

And I’m talking the original releases on CD, not nortalgia from Gog Games or a revamp on Steam.

In fact, my first few characters in Neverwinter were the offspring of the “Heroes of Icewind Dale” in IWD II.

But I could not choose Caer Konig as their place of origin, so had to pick Neverwinter, after their parents stopped being leaders of the Ten Towns and relocated to settle down in luxury.

Gamer Nerdz. What can ya do?

    🙂
