Neverwinter Weekender: Mr. Snibbly is back

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Mr. Snibbly is back On Thursday one of the major events in Neverwinter started on PC. The Day of the Dungeon Master is the game’s tribute to its pen-and-paper origin and particularly Acquisitions Incorporated. In case you’re unfamiliar with it you can get the latest AI live show from PAX East here. The franchise also started a spin-off called the “C-Team” recently. In Neverwinter the event is all about giving players that tabletop feeling by quite literally putting them on top of tables as miniature statuettes. You’ll be part of adventures with Portobello “Chris Perkins” DaVinci, Flabbergast and his cat Mr. Snibbly. In the month-long and fun-first event players can progress through two special campaigns that you find at the bottom of the Sword Coast Chronicle campaign window. Respen’s Marvelous Game includes the two original maps of the format while Portobello is a full blown

Neverwinter Weekender: Strongholds and Guild Marks

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Strongholds and Guild Marks Since a few days we know that Module “11b” will focus around guilds and this weekend both PC and consoles can prepare with various events around the Stronghold. The discount on Guild Marks is especially nice since players that planned accordingly should have plenty from the Double event that ran in February. Now is the perfect time to spend them! The devs also threw a Double Influence weekend and a Stronghold sale at players to complete a flurry of guild related events. It might be worth mentioning that quests from boon structures that return up to 100 Influence are not affected by the daily cap. So the possible number of Influence to farm per day is 1,400. Just note that the quests are on a 20 hour cooldown, they do not reset with other dailies each morning. Gyrion

Neverwinter Weekender: Enchantments for Everyone!

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Double Enchantments It’s time to open all those enchantment boxes as both PC and consoles get a Double Enchantment weekend! It’s always worth noting that most sources are actually included. Lockbox Enchantment and Runestone packs (excluding Bondings…), Steward’s Incentive Package, Enchanted Coffer, Refiner’s Cache, Heroic Encounters, Fey Blessings, etc. and all drops. Whatever contains Enchantments or Runestones is probably worth opening. Also your #1 destination should be Castle Never because the chance at a double Rank 8 is nice. While consoles are getting the companion sale and a companion gift for linking their ARC account, desktop users get 15% off keys. A key sale is always nice, but PC literally just had one the week before the Cloaked Ascendancy. The devs additionally threw Waukeen in the mix, consoles are still busy on the Siege battlefield. The Waukeen event is a nice one although its

Neverwinter Weekender: Nice Stuff for Consoles

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Unfortunately PC players have nothing really great to look forward to this weekend. Double Stronghold Shards is one of the weaker events in the schedule, but it’s still nice to restock those Shards. 20% off Companions is not better or worse than other sales though. There are quite a few endgame viable pets up for grabs like Siege Master or Wild Hunt Rider. Of course you can also use the discount on the new Mage Slayer, but we’re still not sure the active bonus is really worth it. In all cases make sure the Companions are not available for much less on the Auction House. Consoles get all the good stuff Other than PC, consoles are up for a frenzy! Double Refinement, a corresponding sale and the Siege should give guys enough reasons to log on and farm. As always we point

Neverwinter Weekender: Packs, Guild Marks and a Solo Queue

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Double Guild Marks and Pack Sale All platforms get Double Guild Marks and a Pack Sale this weekend. Especially on PC some players might have been waiting for this to trade in their vouchers form Siege. Just know that there will also be a Guild Mark Discount coming up in March. So make sure to just stockpile Guild Marks and spend them later. PVP Solo Queue *Sigh*. Last week we reported why a Double Glory event doesn’t make any sense without being accompanied by something that make PVP a bit more compelling and this week consoles get the Solo Queue. You don’t have to understand every reasoning… Again: Please pair those! Meanwhile the extent of the queue “tests” are still not known. We haven’t heard any comment from the devs about how they are going to use the gathered data. Looks like the

Neverwinter Weekender: Countdown to the Cloaked Ascendancy

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Experience and Glory The slow event schedule in anticipation of Neverwinter’s next module “The Cloaked Ascendancy” continues this week as there is really nothing major going on. To wrap up Storm Kings Thunder PC gets the usual Double Experience and a Key and XP Boost sale on the ZEN market. Although additional experience before new releases seems nice for players to catch up, it’s actually not that great. After all getting to level 70 is a non-issue. What prevents players to participate in the latest content is completing campaigns and refining progression. So a sale or boost there would make much more sense. Consoles in the meantime can get more Glory in dead PVP. Yeah… Thanks for nothing I guess? Double Glory is really the worst Double Event right now. It always has to be coupled with other stuff like the solo queue or something.

Neverwinter Weekender: A little bit of Everything Across Platforms

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Challenge of the Gods For the first weekend in a long time the events on platforms slightly differ, but all players can go hunt the Gift of the Gods again. The rewards are mostly underwhelming, but the packs do drop unbound Rank 6 Enchantments. So PC users get a few more RPs on their double weekend. It is however recommended to grab the daily Blessed Gift of the Gods, because you can always be lucky and get a Forgehammer of Gond. Plus it’s the only source of Vicious Enchantments next to the Winter Festival. Otherwise farming the event makes little sense. Just complete the easy challenges while doing dailies, it’s a nice bonus. Double up! On consoles players can profit from Double Enchantments and Stronghold Shards. We hope you saved all your Enchantment and Runestone packs from lockboxes, because now is the time to open them

Neverwinter Weekender: Boost Your Strongholds!

The Neverwinter Weekender is our brand-new weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! Influence & Strongholds Most players are probably still in their preparations for the upcoming Double Refining week, but this weekend you can’t do wrong running Influence in your Stronghold. This double event is a strange one because you can’t really prep for it. The daily quests in the Stronghold just give double Influence and that’s it. So guilds basically only get progression worth of an additional weekend while cleverly managing other events, you boost whatever you’ve been doing for weeks in advance. That doesn’t mean it’s useless however and Cryptic made sure to throw in a Stronghold sale for those willing to pay ZEN for guild progression. Straight to Helm Is there any hope for the Call-to-Arms event format? It remains a fast way to farm daily Diamonds on alternate characters, but that’s pretty much it. The rewards are outdated, farming the

Neverwinter Weekender: Live Acquisitions Inc at Pax South!

The Siege Continues The current lineup of events is far from exciting. Since “Sea of Moving Ice” just hit on consoles and “The Cloaked Ascendancy” is looming on PC, events do not play a major role in what’s currently happening alongside the Sword Coast. The Siege continues though and everybody should reserve Voucher farming a spot on the daily task list. Just make sure to do it at the end of your session to avoid less valuable drops in case you’re using Quartermaster’s Enchantment. Those that want can trade them in instantly for Guild Marks and use the Double Professions to farm Explorer’s Charts. The recommendation however is to trade in Guild Marks during a Double Event as well and because there hasn’t been one since the last Double Professions, players might not be able to profit as much as they normally do. Neverwinter Weekender: Vouchers, Giants’ Lockbox and Some Minor Events

The Neverwinter Weekender is our weekly column that contains everything you need to know to have some fun along the Sword Coast on the weekends! We’ll inform you guys about the events across all platforms, preview and review them as well as hand out some tips and guides. This is the perfect spot to start off your adventures! The Siege of Neverwinter It didn’t take long for the Cult of the Dragon to prepare their next attack on Neverwinter and so PC players can go hunt for Vouchers again! The event didn’t change so there’s really not a lot of stuff to add. What we wrote in June is still valid, just note that the Quartermaster’s Enchantment received a nerf since then. You can’t do wrong farming those Vouchers even though the next Double Guild Mark event is not on the calendar. For guilds the event means significant progression, so make sure to motivate your members! Double Stuff The fold of Double Events this weekend is pretty meh. PC gets Glory, which is widely considered useless because the normal PVP queue is dead. Experience on consoles might also sound subpar, but with the new Sea of Moving Ice update fresh players
