In case you’re running TONG for those Ultimate Enchanting Stones, you probably know the following situation. Your team just worked hard for 30, 45, or even 60 minutes to beat the dungeon, Ras Nsi is getting pushed off aaaaand… Nothing happens.
The video above from “theguiido” (source) illustrates the issue. Although the boss gets defeated, and the game actually says “Defeat Ras Nsi complete”, no loot chests appear. In that case all you can do is wipe and try again. That’s obviously annoying and hasn’t been the case forever. The timing of bug reports suggests that it was introduced to the game with the Swords of Chult update. PC had to live with the bug for a few weeks already, and now console players also get plagued by the loot issues.
The devs have been trying to fix it, but to no avail. That’s why Community Manager nitocris83 asked the players to provide as much information as possible about the issue on a forum thread. There is a lot of guesswork going on as to why the fight bugs, but there’s one consistent statement from multiple players that could hint at a workaround. Apparently nobody experienced the bug so far in case the group didn’t burn the boss to 0% HP. It’s not actually necessary to “kill” him completely. When Ras Nsi says “What preternatural strength do you mortals command?” with about 5% HP left, the fight is already over. Acererak will find Ras Nsi’s performance “unsatisfactory” and push him off.
Maybe that can help some folks to avoid the issue until its fixed.
