Throughout the week players were able to uncover more details and changes of Neverwinter’s “Heart of Fire” update that were missing in the original patch notes. On of those shows in much more “Folly Farms” in the LFG channels. Players are queuing because there has been a rather significant change to the drop tables of the skirmish. The Illusionist’s Gambit companion gear now drops in Folly chests!
Merchant Prince Folly Farms in Full Swing
This obviously immediately changes the best way to acquire the gear to running Merchant Prince’s Folly. It’s noticeably short and often also easier than IG. We assume that you still need to hit a Gold completion for a chance at the best gear, but that shouldn’t be an issue. Although there hasn’t been an official confirmation, we believe that this is indeed an intended change. Don’t forget that the gear is no longer “bis” and the devs probably just want it to make a bit more obtainable.
As a result, all prices on the Auction House have dropped considerably, but farming Folly makes still sense in case you want to sell some +4 stuff. Thanks to the new chest re-rolls you have a decent chance of getting a marketable item.
Illusionist’s Gambit Deactivated Again
Having the gear available in Folly is also ironically fitting since the original source is deactivated again. We’ve already talked about that experience glitch in Illusionist’s Gambit that got into the spotlight with the new alt bonus rewards. The devs announced a patch on Thursday, but that apparently failed. The Community Manager announced that they had to deactivate the skirmish a second time because there’s still some sort of issue. The next chance at a fix is next Thursday. So we’ll see how long this will take.
